The event was officially announced during a press conference attended by Kapitan Tan Kun Gee, Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng, and Councillor Mok Chuang Ping. In keeping with the Mid-Autumn Festival tradition, free mooncakes and lanterns will be distributed to the public, with special treats for children. A total of 800 lanterns have been generously sponsored by Lion City Singapore Hainan Chicken Rice Sdn Bhd, with partners Calvin Keong, Phang Ching Shiung, Lee Gin How, and Benny Ho playing a key role in this charitable contribution.

One of the major highlights of the evening will be a breathtaking High Pole Lion Dance performance by the Chinese Martial Art Association (CMAA).
