Blaze in Bau: House and Car Razed, Four Homes Affected in Kpg Tringus

KUCHING (Oct 21): A devastating fire engulfed a house and a car in Kampung Tringus, Bau, late last night, causing significant damage to three other homes.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported that firefighters from the Bau fire station were promptly dispatched after receiving an emergency call at 10:02 PM. Upon arrival, they discovered that one house and a sedan had been completely destroyed in the flames, while three nearby houses sustained minor damage.

Remarkably, an elderly woman who was alone in the house managed to escape unharmed, thanks to the quick actions of local villagers who came to her aid.

Bomba officials stated that firefighters successfully extinguished the fire using water sourced from a nearby fire extinguisher. After ensuring the situation was under control, the operation concluded at 11:45 PM.
