Sarawak Immigration 4WD Destroyed in Pending Fire, No Injuries Reported

KUCHING (Oct 23): A four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle belonging to the Sarawak Immigration Department was completely destroyed in a fire early this morning at Jalan Pending.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a call at 4.27am and dispatched personnel from the Padungan fire station to the scene.

“The vehicle, parked next to an office building, was fully engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported,” said Bomba in a statement.

Firefighters extinguished the fire within minutes and left the scene after confirming it was safe. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Meanwhile, in another incident at Jalan Stakan in Kota Sentosa, a collision between a car and a van resulted in the car catching fire. The crash occurred at around 4.30am, but no injuries were reported. Firefighters from the Batu Lintang fire station quickly put out the fire.
