KUCHING, 17 March 2025 – Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, took time to break fast with members of the Sarawak Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) at Al-Muhajidin Mosque, Tabuan Jaya Police Housing Complex, on Saturday.
The event was also attended by Sarawak Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, Political Secretary to the Sarawak Premier, Dato Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman, Sarawak Police Commissioner, Dato Mancha Ata, and Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner, Saifullizan Ishak.
Upon arrival, Premier Abang Johari was greeted by Dato Mancha Ata before he toured several areas of the police housing complex. This visit reflects the Premier’s ongoing commitment to strengthening ties between the state government and law enforcement agencies.
The evening began with a group photo session at the mosque compound, followed by a simple iftar (breaking fast) session. The Premier and other attendees then joined in Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih prayers in congregation, reinforcing the importance of spirituality and unity during Ramadan.
After prayers, Abang Johari took the opportunity to interact with police officers and their families, exchanging greetings and warm wishes. The event was seen as a meaningful gesture of appreciation for the sacrifices and dedication of Sarawak’s law enforcement personnel in maintaining peace and security in the state.
This initiative highlights the Premier’s efforts to support the welfare and morale of the Sarawak PDRM, ensuring that officers feel valued and acknowledged for their hard work.
