SERIAN – Sixty hill paddy farmers in the Serian Division have received a significant boost to their agricultural operations through a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The programme, a joint effort between chemical giants ACM and BASF, was launched on the sidelines of the ongoing Serian Agrofest 2026, highlighting the growing synergy between private industry and local farming communities.
Each of the selected beneficiaries was presented with an agricultural input package valued at RM500. These kits contain a variety of essential farming supplies designed to enhance crop productivity and promote more efficient planting methods. By providing these resources, the initiative aims to support sustainable agricultural practices that can yield better results for smallholder farmers who often face resource constraints.
