KUCHING — AirBorneo is preparing to enter a new era of regional aviation with the official launch of its website and customer service center on 10 December 2025. The move signals the start of ticket sales under the airline’s own brand, following its scheduled takeover of Malaysia Airlines Wings (MASwings) at the end of this month.
In a media statement on Tuesday, the airline said the launch represents a major milestone for air travel in Sabah and Sarawak. It also supports the government’s long-standing commitment to strengthen air connectivity and improve travel convenience for the people of East Malaysia.
According to AirBorneo, passengers will continue purchasing tickets for travel up to 13 January 2026 through the existing MASwings website at maswings.com.my. However, a full transition will begin the next day.
“For travel dates from 14 January 2026 onwards, all bookings must be made through AirBorneo’s new website, airborneo.com,” the statement said.
Customers will also be able to contact the airline directly via its customer service center. For domestic inquiries, AirBorneo has provided a toll-free hotline at 1-300-22-1388, while international callers can reach the team at (+60) 82-537555.
Despite the transition, the company assured that all tickets issued under Malaysia Airlines Wings remain valid. “There will be no changes to the current flight schedule,” AirBorneo added, stressing that passengers can travel as planned without disruptions.
Passengers with travel dates from 14 January 2026 will also receive a personalised notification regarding the rebooking and transition process under the AirBorneo branding.
The airline encouraged the public to visit airborneo.com for further details. Travellers can also refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section or contact the customer service hotline for any concerns related to bookings or the transition.
With this launch, AirBorneo positions itself to take on a bigger role in serving East Malaysia’s skies, continuing a legacy of essential connectivity across the region. – UKAS
