KUCHING: Alexis DanceSport Studio in Sarawak has proudly showcased its dancers’ talent and dedication at the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) Latin Medal Tests, held in Kuching on 26 November 2025. The examinations were overseen by esteemed international examiner Mr. Malcolm Hill from the United Kingdom, following official ISTD standards.
A total of 14 dancers from Alexis DanceSport Studio participated across various medal levels and age groups. In the Gold Medal Latin category, four dancers successfully completed the examination, with two receiving Commended awards and two achieving Honours, reflecting their technical mastery and polished performance skills.
All three candidates in the Silver Medal Latin category earned Honours, showcasing precise execution, musical accuracy, and refined presentation. Meanwhile, six dancers in the Pre-Bronze Latin Dance Test achieved Honours, with standout performances from Belle Wong, who scored 99 marks, and Ooi Shee Le and Bernice Cham, each earning 98 marks.
Alexis DanceSport Studio also celebrated the success of its youngest talents, as two Under-8 dancers completed their ISTD Medal Tests with promising results, demonstrating strong foundational skills and musical awareness.
These exceptional achievements highlight the studio’s commitment to excellence under the guidance of Coach Alexis Jap and Teacher Ker Sing. Their internationally aligned teaching approach ensures dancers receive top-level training, preparing them for both examinations and competitions.
