Sarawak Zone 4 APM Basic Course Concludes in Sibu

SIBU – The closing ceremony of the Civil Defence Force (APM) Basic Course for Zone 4 Sarawak, Series 1/2026, was held at Junaco Park Camp in Sibu from 18 to 19 April 2026.

The event marked the successful completion of intensive training designed to prepare volunteer members for future emergency and disaster response operations.

Lt (PA) Johny Anak Jamit, Pakan District Civil Defence Officer, was among the invited guests at the ceremony, which celebrated the achievements of participants who had undergone rigorous instruction over the two-day programme.

The course was structured to strengthen technical skills, mental resilience, and operational readiness, ensuring that volunteers are equipped to serve effectively in challenging circumstances.

The training focused on three key areas. Firstly, technical instruction covered essential rescue techniques, bonding exercises, and emergency treatment skills.

These practical components are vital for volunteers who may be deployed in disaster zones, where immediate action can save lives.
