According to APM Bau, the report involved a single case categorised as MSS (ground wasp nest). The team was immediately dispatched to the location to assess and manage the situation.

Their swift intervention ensured that the area was secured and the risk posed to the public was contained. Ground wasp nests can present significant hazards, particularly when located near residential or public areas.

Experts note that wasps are highly defensive of their nests and can attack in large numbers if disturbed, posing dangers to individuals who may inadvertently come into close contact. Such incidents highlight the importance of professional handling to prevent injuries.

The Civil Defence Force has consistently reminded residents not to attempt to remove or disturb wasp nests themselves.

Instead, the public is urged to contact trained personnel who are equipped with the necessary protective gear and techniques to manage such cases safely.

APM Bau emphasised its commitment to public safety and expressed appreciation to the community for promptly reporting the case. Early communication, they stressed, is vital in preventing potential harm and ensuring rapid response.
