MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force Mukah district (APM Mukah) received an emergency call on Monday, 9 February 2026, involving an elderly man who was reported to be experiencing breathing difficulties.
The case was classified as a Sick Case Call (SKT) and was reported by members of the public. APM personnel were immediately dispatched to the location, where the victim was found in the kitchen of his home.
Upon arrival, the responders assessed the patient’s condition and promptly transferred him onto a trolley stretcher. He was then placed into an ambulance and transported to Mukah Hospital, where he was admitted for further medical treatment.
The quick response highlighted APM Mukah’s preparedness in handling health-related emergencies in addition to its disaster response duties. The organisation continues to emphasise its role in supporting the community during urgent situations to ensure victims receive timely assistance.
Local residents commended the professionalism of APM members, noting that their rapid response to emergency calls provides reassurance to the community. The incident underscores the importance of having trained personnel available around the clock to manage medical and disaster-related emergencies.
