APM Mukah Helps Elderly Woman Facing Movement Issues

MUKAH – An elderly woman was rushed to the regional hospital on Thursday after suffering a sudden medical episode that left her incapacitated inside her home. The emergency medical evacuation was facilitated by the Mukah District Civil Defence Force (APM).

The incident came to light after concerned individuals contacted the local emergency services network to report a medical crisis involving a senior citizen.

The emergency notification was formally logged by the Mukah District Operations Control Center (PKOD), which immediately initiated dispatch protocols.

According to the details provided to the responding team, the elderly female victim was confined to her bedroom, experiencing severe physical distress.

She was suffering from acute weakness across all of her limbs, compounded by debilitating pain localized in her left leg, which completely compromised her mobility.

Upon arriving at the residential property, the civil defence personnel quickly evaluated the patient’s condition and stabilised her inside the room.

Given her limited movement and the pain she was experiencing, officers carefully transferred the elderly woman onto an ambulance stretcher trolley to prevent further physical trauma.

The rescue team successfully extracted the patient from the home and secured her inside an emergency vehicle.

She was subsequently transported directly to the Mukah Hospital, where she was admitted into the emergency department for diagnostic testing and specialised medical care.

The entire medical transfer was executed smoothly by the duty personnel, ensuring the patient reached the hospital clinical team without any secondary complications or unnecessary delays.

No untoward incidents were reported during the transit from the home to the medical facility. Following the successful handover of the patient to hospital doctors, the agency reiterated its ongoing commitment to public welfare.
