APM Sarikei Welfare Visit Highlights Staff Care

SARIKEI – Officers and members of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM)’s Sarikei District Unit (APM Sarikei) made their way to the home of a colleague stricken with ill health for a welfare visit today.

The row was intended to showcase the department’s caring side and to emotionally help both the staff member and his family. The visitors were a show of solidarity and encouragement in tough times.

The visit was headed by the Sarikei District Civil Defence Officer (PPAD) as a sign of management’s concern for staff welfare. The officer’s presence at the agency shows to staff the importance of having that support not just when on duty, but beyond.

Family members thanked APM Sarikei for the visit and said the care conveyed by them made them feel at ease. They expressed thanks for the department’s readiness to stand by its employees when in need and said it was of great significance to them.

The current welfare system which is in place reflects the overall vision of Malaysia Civil Defence, which always gives emphasis to humanity centred principles as well as a sense of unity and caring among its members. These are by no means rare projects for APM, who often do welfare visits and community action tasks to build on the organisation as a service body.

Sarawak Civil Defence officers are widely known for their emphasis on operational readiness and community care service. Their role to provide disaster response and public safety is framed alongside their value of internal cohesion. This equilibrium serves to help employees stay positive and bounce back when they need to because their health has been a focus.

One long-time Utah law enforcement observer says visits like this have a direct impact on morale and family within the force. They also remind the organisation of its broader purpose to express compassion and integrity in everything we do.

The action shows that the Sarikei District APM is not all about operation but also has great humanitarian values. With a focus on staff wellness, people who are healthy can contribute to the broader service as a unified team.
