APM Spaoh Captures Python in Kitchen Incident

SPAOH – The Spaoh Civil Defence Force (APM Spaoh) successfully intercepted a python attempting to enter a kitchen in Kampung Hilir Spaoh on Monday afternoon.

The incident was reported at around midday, when a resident spotted the snake and immediately contacted APM for assistance.

According to Charlie Squad leader Sjn (PA) Noriza Binti Japar, the team received a call from Mr Zaidi, who had noticed the reptile inside his kitchen. Four members of the Charlie Squad were promptly deployed to the location to handle the situation.

Upon arrival, the team conducted a thorough search and discovered a three-foot python hiding beneath the kitchen tabletop. Using specialised snake-catching equipment, the squad managed to secure the animal safely.

The python was then placed in a venomous animal box before being transported to the District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) for further action.

The operation, categorised as a Snake Catching Case Operation (KMU), was completed at 12.30pm. The captured python was delivered to PKOD within ten minutes, ensuring the safety of the household and surrounding community.

APM Spaoh highlighted that such incidents demonstrate the importance of community vigilance and quick reporting.

The department stressed that residents should not attempt to handle snakes themselves but instead contact trained personnel to avoid unnecessary risks.
