The situation was brought under control following a successful wildlife extraction operation executed by the Tanjung Manis District Civil Defence Force (APM).

The agency responded to an urgent distress call placed by a worried homeowner residing within the TM200 Perumahan Baru Tanjung Manis residential estate.

The emergency report, which was logged at approximately 11:00 am, prompted the immediate deployment of a four-person response team utilising two service motorcycles to bypass traffic and reach the scene quickly.

Upon arriving at the designated residential compound, the duty personnel conducted a visual assessment and located the intruder.

A golden ring snake, estimated to measure around two metres in length, was found coiled up inside the branches of a tree situated in close proximity to the complainant’s house.

Using specialised handling equipment, the trained emergency responders executed a tactical capture using precise pinching and snaring methods.

The team managed to completely neutralise the threat and secure the large reptile without causing any injuries to the residents or the animal itself.

In an unrelated event on the same morning, the district operations desk received a secondary report concerning another reptile sighting.

This separate incident was reported further away along Lorong M18, located within the Perumahan Lama Pusaka Tanjung Manis neighbourhood. A search party was dispatched to the second housing estate to scan the area for hazards.

Despite a thorough inspection of the immediate surroundings and potential hiding spots by the personnel, the reported snake could not be located, and the search was eventually called off after the area was deemed safe.

Both field operations were coordinated and led on-site by Mala Anak Lelian from the Local Government Area Office (PA), alongside the supporting duty personnel.

District command confirmed that both deployments concluded smoothly without any complications or untoward incidents arising during the operations.

Following the twin wildlife calls, emergency officials issued a public safety advisory urging the community to remain cautious.

Residents are strongly cautioned against attempting to confront, capture, or kill venomous creatures independently, and are instead advised to contact emergency services immediately to prevent dangerous wildlife encounters.
