JULAU – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Julau successfully destroyed a wasp nest at the Department of Agriculture quarters after receiving an emergency call from the public on Tuesday night.
At 9.06 pm, the Julau District Control and Operations Centre (PKOD) was alerted to the presence of the nest, which posed a potential danger to residents living in the quarters.
Concerned members of the public requested immediate assistance to prevent any risk of stings or injuries.
APM Julau dispatched a team to the location, where officers identified the nest and carried out the destruction using the ridsect spray technique.
The operation was completed with additional cleaning to ensure the insects would not rebuild in the same area.
