Eight Injured Including Pregnant Woman in Asajaya Road Accident

ASAJAYA – A serious road accident involving two vehicles at Jalan Sambir, Asajaya yesterday left eight people injured, including a pregnant woman.

The District Civil Defence Force (APM) Asajaya confirmed that they received an emergency call regarding the accident, which occurred when two vehicles collided head-on from opposite directions.

Following the call, APM’s Charlie Squad was immediately dispatched to the scene to provide first aid and assist the victims. All injured individuals, including the expectant mother, were rushed to Klinik Kesihatan Sadong Jaya for further treatment.

APM Asajaya said quick action was taken to ensure that victims received timely medical attention. The presence of their officers helped stabilise the situation before medical teams took over.

“The safety of the community is always our priority. We urge road users to remain cautious, especially when driving along narrow or busy routes like Jalan Sambir,” APM Asajaya said in a statement.

The public has been reminded to contact the APM Asajaya emergency line at 082-827091 or the national emergency hotline 999 in case of any emergencies.

APM also encouraged the community to follow their official social media channels on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube for updates on safety alerts, rescue efforts, and community programmes.

This accident once again highlights the importance of road safety awareness. With the monsoon season approaching, APM has urged motorists to always drive carefully and be alert to weather changes that could affect road conditions.

The Civil Defence Force continues to uphold its motto “Sentiasa Bersama Pertahanan Awam” (Always with Civil Defence) and remains committed to protecting lives and ensuring community preparedness in the face of emergencies.
