BAU – The Bau District Police Headquarters (IPD Bau) carried out an Integrated Crime Prevention Operation on 2 May 2026, reinforcing its commitment to public safety and order across the district.
The operation was staged at several strategic locations, including a roadblock (SJR) along Jalan Simpang Kampung Bobak, Singai.
Police teams also conducted crime prevention patrols, vehicle and individual inspections, and security monitoring in Bandar Bau, residential neighbourhoods, and routes identified as high-risk.
Authorities confirmed that 38 vehicles were inspected during the exercise, alongside 66 individuals. The checks were aimed at deterring criminal activity, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations, and maintaining a visible police presence in areas of concern.
IPD Bau highlighted that the initiative forms part of a series of proactive measures designed to reassure the public and discourage unlawful behaviour.
By maintaining regular patrols and checkpoints, the police seek to strengthen community confidence and reduce opportunities for crime.
The operation also reflects the district’s broader strategy of combining enforcement with community engagement.
Police officers emphasised that their presence is not only about enforcement but also about building trust with residents and encouraging cooperation in safeguarding neighbourhoods.
Local authorities have reiterated that such integrated operations will continue to be implemented periodically.
The aim is to ensure that the police presence remains consistent and effective, thereby preventing potential threats and enhancing overall security in Bau.
IPD Bau reaffirmed its commitment under the motto “Your Safety, Our Responsibility”, encouraging residents to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activities promptly.
The police stressed that community awareness and collaboration are vital in sustaining long-term safety across the district.
