Benak Sri Aman 2025 Committee Pays Courtesy Visit to Datuk Francis Harden

Benak Sri Aman 2025 Committee Pays Courtesy Visit to Datuk Francis Harden

KUCHING — The organising committee for the Benak Sri Aman Festival 2025 paid a courtesy visit to Sarawak Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development, Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, at the LCDA Tower in The Isthmus, Kuching on Tuesday.

Led by Mahra Salleh, Chairman of the Main Committee, the delegation was accompanied by the Resident of Sri Aman Division. The purpose of the visit was to provide a briefing and update on early preparations for the 22nd edition of the Children’s Party 2025, scheduled to be held from September 19 to 21, 2025.

The committee also sought Datuk Francis’ advice, views, and continued support in his capacity as festival adviser to ensure the smooth execution of the event.

This year, the Benak Festival will feature 11 key programmes, including the renowned Batang Lupar Benak Regatta. A highlight of the festival will be the Raja Sungai Batang Lupar competition, with a grand cash prize of RM25,000 awaiting the winner.

This courtesy visit highlights the government’s support and community collaboration in promoting culture, tourism, and local pride through one of Sarawak’s most anticipated festivals.
