Upon arrival, the team discovered that a bushfire was actively burning vegetation in the area. The fire team quickly sprang into action using a first aid hose and water from the fire engine’s tank.

He added, “Our team worked efficiently to contain the fire, and we managed to completely extinguish it within 36 minutes. The entire operation wrapped up safely by 8.49pm.”

No casualties or property damage were reported. The source of the fire is still under investigation.

The BBP reminds the public to be cautious during dry weather and avoid open burning, especially near residential or forested areas. Even small flames can quickly escalate into large-scale fires if left unchecked.

Local residents expressed relief over the fast response from the firefighters. “We are very thankful to the fire department. Without their quick action, the fire might have spread to nearby houses,” said one Kampung 1 Malaysia villager.

Such rapid interventions highlight the dedication and preparedness of our local firefighting teams, who work tirelessly day and night to keep our communities safe.
