During a recent site visit, Meradong Assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing reviewed the progress of the works, marking his second inspection since the project site handover on 5 January.

He emphasised that the development is not only about upgrading infrastructure but also about creating long-term benefits for the local community.

“This project is an important initiative to strengthen public facilities in rural areas while providing lasting value to the people,” he said.

Among the key upgrades already underway are improvements to public toilet facilities, designed to provide greater comfort for visitors.

The park’s main road circuit is also being resurfaced to ensure safety for recreational activities such as jogging and walking. These enhancements are part of a broader plan to make the park more accessible and user-friendly.

One of the most anticipated features is the construction of the Red Bridge, which is expected to become a landmark attraction within the park.

Alongside this, a central stage is being built to host community events, cultural programmes, and social gatherings, reinforcing the park’s role as a hub for local activities.

A new children’s playground is also being developed, offering families more opportunities for outdoor recreation.
