Borneo International Consumer Expo 2026 Returns With Culture, Talent and Consumer Focus

KUCHING – The Borneo International Consumer Expo (BICE) is set to return in 2026, offering a dynamic platform that combines consumer education, cultural showcases, safe shopping opportunities and world-class entertainment.

Organised by the Sarawak Consumers’ Association (PPS), the expo aims to address growing concerns about online fraud, opaque transactions and unethical business practices.

With many consumers uncertain about their rights and responsibilities, BICE positions itself as a trusted space where transparency and empowerment take centre stage.

Scheduled to run from 29 January to 1 February 2026 at the MetroCity Convention Centre (MCCC), Kuching, the event will operate daily from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm.

It is expected to attract local, regional and international brands, making it a strategic meeting ground for consumers, traders and investors.

In line with its slogan “Through Exhibitions, Make the Beauty of Borneo Internationally Renowned”, BICE will highlight the richness of Borneo’s art, heritage and traditions.

Programmes include Speech Bijak Pengaturan, which provides practical exposure on consumer rights, Explore Borneo, showcasing tourism potential, and the Borneo Etnik Traditional Kids Costume Competition, designed to instil cultural pride among younger generations.

Other highlights include the Premium Rahmah Sale, organised in collaboration with KPDN Sarawak, offering essential items at affordable prices, as well as daily interactive games with exclusive prizes such as Blind Box Pop Mart.

Visitors will also have the chance to participate in the BICE Exclusive Lucky Draw, with the grand prize being a Yamaha XMAX 250cc.

Additional premium prizes include a Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bandoulière Inside Out, a Gintell Spider Man Massage Chair, a Sharp Aquos 75-inch television, a Sony PlayStation 5 Pro, and a DJI Neo.

The expo’s highlight event, Borneo’s Star Talent (BST), will serve as a major talent search stage under the slogan “Let’s Turn Borneo Into a Star”.

Participants need only submit a one-minute video for jury evaluation, with the top 30 advancing to semi-finals on 30 January 2026 and finals on 31 January 2026.

Prizes include RM3,500 for the champion, RM1,500 for the runner-up, and RM800 for third place, along with certificates and trophies.

Winners will also be featured in The Book of Borneo’s Talent, registered with the National Library of Malaysia and distributed to government agencies, offering recognition and future opportunities.

With its blend of consumer awareness, cultural celebration, entertainment and high-value rewards, BICE 2026 is expected to be one of the most influential events in the region.

Entry is free, and organisers encourage the public to attend and experience this unique showcase. For enquiries, contact the official BICE line at 019-9692899.
