Addressing Safety Concerns

Responding to queries about safety along the Pan Borneo Highway, Maslan elaborated on the findings of studies conducted by the Transport Ministry. According to these studies, a majority of road accidents (80 percent) stem from driver negligence, with road conditions (13 percent) and faulty vehicles (seven percent) also contributing factors.

“The ministry’s focus lies in addressing the 13 percent attributed to road conditions,” Maslan explained. “We are committed to rectifying any issues within our purview to ensure the safety of all highway users.”
