Bubur Lambuk Distribution Strengthens Community Bonds in Simunjan

SIMUNJAN: The annual Bubur Lambuk Distribution Program continues to spread joy and strengthen unity among the people of Simunjan during the holy month of Ramadan. The event, which has become a cherished tradition, saw the active involvement of the Samarahan Division National Unity and Integration Department, KRT Kampung Nanas, KRT Taman Hijrah, Kampung Nanas Community Social Association (PSKKN), and JKKK Kampung Nanas Hilir, Tengah, and Hulu.

This meaningful initiative aims to foster goodwill and unity among the multi-ethnic communities in the region. More than 900 packs of bubur lambuk and bubur kacang were prepared and distributed to Ramadan bazaar traders, visitors, and local residents at the Padang Sentral Simunjan. The overwhelming response from the public highlighted the program’s significance in bringing people together during this blessed month.

Among the notable figures present was Simunjan State Assemblyman (ADUN), Awla Dris, who commended the organizers for their dedication to the community.

“This is a great initiative to strengthen unity among the people of Simunjan, especially during Ramadan. Programs like this not only provide food but also nurture a spirit of togetherness regardless of race and religion,” said Awla on Saturday.

He further expressed hope that similar programs would continue in the future, ensuring that unity and mutual respect remain strong in Simunjan.

Recipients of the bubur lambuk expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the government and organizers for their unwavering commitment to supporting the community, particularly during Ramadan. The distribution program is set to expand to other areas within the Simunjan District, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to partake in this meaningful tradition.

Also present at the event were Simunjan District Officer Sanuyah Mohamad, Unity Officer of the Samarahan Division Unity Department Diana Seliman, Chairman of Kampung Nanas Community Social Association (PSKKN) Abdul Khalik Udaini, and the Chiefs of Kampung Nanas Hilir, Tengah, and Hulu.
