Capturing the Heart of Iban Tradition: Exclusive Longhouse Photo Session in Sibu

SIBU (Dec 18) – The Photography Society of Sibu (PSS) recently hosted an exclusive photography session at Rumah Michael Ancho, located in Bawang Assan, to document the vibrant and traditional life of the Iban community. This special activity allowed PSS members to get a firsthand look at the daily customs and practices that have been passed down through generations in the longhouse.

During the event, participants had the unique opportunity to photograph various aspects of longhouse life, including the traditional architecture, communal activities, and cultural rituals that form the backbone of the Iban community. The photo session was more than just about capturing images – it was an immersive experience that allowed photographers to connect with the culture on a deeper level.
