KUCHING — The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Batu Lintang Branch joined hands with the Kuching Ai Xin Association in a Charity Bazaar that successfully raised RM2,069 for community support programmes.
The one-day event, held on 28 September, saw encouraging participation from members of the public, who came forward to support the fundraising drive. The bazaar was filled with a variety of food stalls, goods for sale, and community-led activities, all aimed at contributing to a good cause.
SUPP Batu Lintang Branch chairman Sih Hua Tong expressed his gratitude to all those who supported the initiative. He said the amount raised reflects the caring spirit of the community and the willingness of people to come together for a noble cause.
“This contribution reflects the spirit of love and care among the people of Kuching. We are proud to play our part in giving back to the community. On behalf of SUPP Batu Lintang Branch, I sincerely thank the Kuching Ai Xin Association, our members, volunteers, and the public for their support,” Sih said.
The Kuching Ai Xin Association, known for its continuous efforts in welfare and charitable programmes, also expressed gratitude for the collaboration. They highlighted that such initiatives are vital in fostering stronger ties among communities while addressing the needs of the less fortunate.
