Close Call for Motorist and Passenger as Car Goes Up in Flames on Pan Borneo Highway

BAU, Sarawak – A motorist and their passenger narrowly escaped danger when their car caught fire along the Pan Borneo Highway last night (Sept 26). The vehicle was completely destroyed in the blaze, but both individuals managed to exit safely before the flames engulfed the car.

According to a statement from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 9.34 pm, and a team was dispatched to the scene. Firefighters managed to put out the fire by 10.20 pm.

While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported. The total extent of the damages is yet to be determined.
