DARO: A total of 19 students successfully completed all 30 chapters of the Quran during the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony held at the Daro Mosque Village Hall on Sunday. The event was a vibrant and spiritually uplifting occasion.
Organised by the Village Development and Safety Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Masjid Baru Hilir Daro, the ceremony aimed to celebrate the dedication and achievement of the Quran recitation class students.
Igan Member of Parliament, Ahmad Johnie Zawawi, was present to congratulate the participants and support the community’s commitment to Islamic learning.
In his speech, Ahmad Johnie emphasised the importance of continuing to read the Quran regularly, strengthening the relationship with Allah (hablum minallah), and fostering good relations among people (hablum minannas). He also stressed the importance of lifelong learning.
To support this noble initiative, he announced a contribution of RM3,000 to JKKK Kampung Masjid Baru Hilir Daro to further encourage Quranic education and related programmes.
Also present at the ceremony were Daro District Officer Zul Usup, Daro Islamic Religion Officer Ustaz Anas Sarip, and community leader Bahiri Selakong.
