KUCHING: Dato Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Sarawak Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Openg, for reappointing him as Chief Political Secretary to the Sarawak Premier. The Tupong Assemblyman assured his continued dedication to supporting the Premier’s vision for Sarawak’s development.
“I deeply appreciate the trust given to me to continue serving in this position. I will remain committed to supporting the leadership of Datuk Patinggi Abang Zohari, especially in implementing the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030, which focuses on sustainable and inclusive growth for Sarawak,” said Dato Fazzrudin in a social media post on Friday.
He also emphasized the vital role of the Political Secretary’s Office in ensuring that the government’s policies and initiatives are effectively communicated to the public. According to him, the ultimate goal is to ensure that these policies truly benefit the people and reflect their needs and aspirations.
Dato Fazzrudin reiterated his full support for Sarawak’s ongoing efforts to uphold its rights as outlined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63), the Inter-Governmental Committee (IGC) Report, and the Federal Constitution.
“I am proud to contribute towards safeguarding Sarawak’s rights and ensuring that the state continues to progress in line with the aspirations of our people,” he added.
Dato Fazzrudin was first appointed as Chief Political Secretary on 18 February 2022. His reappointment was formalized during a swearing-in ceremony held at Wisma Bapa Malaysia today. – UKAS EDITION
