KUCHING – The festive spirit of Syawal was celebrated in full colour at Wisma Sabati on 13 April 2026, as Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) hosted its Hari Raya Aidilfitri reception ceremony.
The event brought together DBKU employees and distinguished guests in a lively atmosphere of friendship and unity.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department, Datuk Dr Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Junaidi, who also serves as Project Coordinator for the Regional Development Agency, DBKU and Islamic Affairs.
He was accompanied by his wife, Datin Hajah Siti Shorgayah binti Haji Ahmad Zaidin. Both spent time mingling warmly with DBKU staff, reinforcing the family-like spirit of the occasion.
The gathering provided a platform to strengthen bonds among employees, with organisers emphasising the importance of fostering camaraderie and institutional unity.
Guests were treated to a variety of traditional Hari Raya dishes, adding to the festive cheer and creating a welcoming environment for all attendees.

Among the notable attendees were Sarawak Attorney General Dato Sri Saferi bin Ali and his wife Datin Sri Sharifah Ema Fazila binti Aidulfitri, Kuching North Mayor Dato Haji Hilmy bin Haji Othman, DBKU Council Members, and DBKU Director Encik Ramzi bin Abdillah with his wife Puan Sanisah binti Hasan.
