DBKU’s Sukma Ria Ramadan Bazaar 2026 Showcases Local Vendors

KUCHING – The Sukma Ria Ramadan Bazaar 2026, jointly organised by e-Mart Xpress Sukma Ria and the Kuching North City Hall (DBKU), has once again brought festive cheer to the city with a vibrant showcase of food and community spirit.

The bazaar, which runs from 19 February to 20 March 2026, features 101 hawkers offering a wide range of dishes for iftar. Visitors can explore 77 food stalls, 16 beverage stalls, and 8 grilled food stalls, each presenting unique flavours that reflect the diversity of Sarawak’s culinary scene.

Operating daily from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm, the bazaar has become a popular destination for residents seeking traditional and modern delicacies during Ramadan.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Hajah Sharifah Hasidah binti Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) and N7 Samariang Assemblyman.

She was joined by Yang Berbahagia Dato Haji Hilmy bin Haji Othman, Mayor of Kuching North, who expressed support for the bazaar’s role in strengthening community ties.

To enhance the visitor experience, DBKU has arranged parking facilities at the Taman Sukma Multipurpose Hall. The parking service operates from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm daily between 19 February and 19 March 2026, ensuring smoother access for the growing number of attendees.

Beyond its culinary offerings, the Sukma Ria Ramadan Bazaar serves as an important platform for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. By providing space for hawkers to showcase their products, the event helps generate income and supports local businesses during the festive season.

Organisers highlighted that the bazaar is not only about commerce but also about fostering togetherness. The atmosphere encourages friendships, strengthens community bonds, and reflects the spirit of sharing that defines Ramadan.

Over the years, Ramadan bazaars across Sarawak have become cultural landmarks, offering residents and visitors alike a chance to experience traditional dishes and festive camaraderie. Sukma Ria’s bazaar continues this tradition, reinforcing Kuching’s reputation as a hub of cultural and culinary celebration.

With its lively stalls, supportive facilities, and strong community participation, the Sukma Ria Ramadan Bazaar 2026 stands as a testament to the enduring values of unity, generosity, and festive joy.
