Elderly man and woman Escape Unharmed in Collision at Jalan Tun Razak, Kuching

KUCHING (Dec 23): An elderly man and a woman were fortunate to walk away unscathed after their vehicles collided at Jalan Tun Razak on Monday afternoon.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported receiving a call about the accident at 2.20pm, prompting them to dispatch personnel from the Padungan fire station to the scene.

Upon their arrival, rescuers found the elderly man trapped in his car. Despite being uninjured, he was carefully extricated and transported to the hospital as a precautionary measure.

The woman involved in the accident was able to exit her car without assistance and was also unharmed.

Bomba personnel conducted flushing operations to clear debris from the accident site, ensuring the road was safe for other motorists before concluding their mission.

Fortunately, no major injuries or fatalities were reported. Authorities have yet to provide further details on the cause of the collision.

This incident highlights the importance of cautious driving, especially in busy areas like Jalan Tun Razak, to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
