Fadillah Joins Stakan ADUN’s Raya Open House with 2,000 Guests

STAKAN, April 2025: The Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration in Stakan became extra special this year as Deputy Prime Minister, Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof, made a surprise appearance at the 2025 Aidilfitri Open House hosted by Stakan Assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Hamzah Brahim.

Held in a vibrant and festive atmosphere, the event attracted more than 2,000 guests from the local community, turning the celebration into a memorable gathering for people of all backgrounds. Dato Sri Fadillah was warmly received upon arrival by Datuk Hamzah and other community leaders, in a strong show of unity and grassroots leadership support.

The open house aimed to strengthen racial harmony and promote goodwill among the multiracial communities in Stakan, in line with the spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Guests were treated to an array of delicious traditional dishes including lemang, rendang, satay, and kuih-muih, while classic Raya tunes filled the air.

In his remarks, Datuk Hamzah expressed deep gratitude for Dato Sri Fadillah’s visit, saying it was a great honour for the people of Stakan to welcome one of the country’s top leaders. He also thanked the community for their strong turnout, reflecting the close bond between leaders and residents.

Adding to the festive cheer, several other notable leaders were also present, including Datuk Rubiah Wang (Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and MP for Kota Samarahan), Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang (ADUN Batu Kitang), Yap Yau Sin (ADUN Kota Sentosa), Abdul Yakub Arbi (ADUN Balingian), and Mohamad Irwan Bahari Bujang, Samarahan Division Resident.
