SEPANG — Popular actor Fattah Amin has officially become a husband once again after tying the knot with singer and actress Amira Othman in a beautifully arranged wedding ceremony at the Golden Palm Tree Resort, Sepang, tonight.
The akad nikah was officiated by former Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Seri Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri, in the presence of nearly 200 guests consisting of close family members and friends.
The ceremony carried the Islamic theme of Al-Zauj, meaning “two souls brought together by Allah”, with a simple yet meaningful concept. The twilight-themed setting reflected the couple’s wish for their marriage to be a symbol of a blessed and harmonious union.
Adding to the joy, the wedding also coincided with Fattah’s birthday, making the date even more memorable. Amira described their marriage as the most precious gift she could ever give to her husband.
During the ceremony, Fattah presented a dowry in the form of a gold bracelet along with five trays of gifts, while Amira’s side offered seven trays in return.
The couple looked radiant in all-white attire, with Fattah dressed in Rizman Ruzaini while Amira wore a gown designed by Teh Firdaus. In keeping with the theme, guests were also asked to dress in white.
“Alhamdulillah, everything went smoothly. I am grateful to my family, friends, and fans for their prayers and support,” said Fattah after the ceremony. Amira also expressed her gratitude and hoped that well-wishers would continue to pray for their journey as husband and wife.
The elegant decor was crafted by Reka Teemor, whose founder, Rozana Mumtaz, explained that the Al-Zauj theme was chosen to reflect the couple’s wish for an Islamic and spiritual celebration.
Last week, Fattah made headlines when he revealed that he would marry Amira on September 14 — his birthday — during the launch of Amira and Irfan Haris’ new single Rasa & Takdir.
For the record, Fattah was previously married to actress Fazura on 27 November 2017. The marriage ended in divorce on 7 October last year. They have a daughter, Nur Fatima Aisya, who is now five years old.
