KUCHING (Oct 1): A fire erupted this afternoon at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) specialist clinic block, causing significant concern among staff and patients. Firefighters from the Batu Lintang fire station swiftly responded to the incident, working diligently to control the flames.

According to a spokesperson from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the fire has reportedly damaged the air handling unit (AHU) within the clinic block. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries, and the situation is being managed effectively by the firefighting team.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Authorities are advising the public to remain calm and stay clear of the area to facilitate the ongoing efforts of emergency services.
