Devastating Blaze Strikes Kampung Bantang
SERIAN: A devastating fire destroyed a two-storey house along with three motorcycles and a car in Kampung Bantang, Jalan Baki Riih, yesterday afternoon. The blaze, which erupted at approximately 1:13 PM, fortunately did not result in any casualties or injuries.
Swift Response from Firefighters
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department reported that firefighters from the Serian and Siburan stations were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving the distress call. Upon their arrival, they found the entire house, motorcycles, and car engulfed in flames.
Firefighting Efforts and Aftermath
The firefighters successfully extinguished the fire using water sourced from a nearby fire hydrant. Following the extinguishment, they conducted thorough overhaul works to ensure there was no potential for reignition before concluding the operation.
