Thousands Flock to Putrajaya for Full Rehearsal of National Day 2025

Thousands Flock to Putrajaya for Full Rehearsal of National Day 2025

PUTRAJAYA – The full rehearsal for the 2025 National Day celebration turned into a lively spectacle this morning as thousands of visitors from all walks of life gathered at Dataran Putrajaya as early as 5.30 am.

Despite this only being the rehearsal, the atmosphere resembled that of the actual celebration, with families, youth, and senior citizens filling the area to witness the colourful displays and parade preparations. Many had to walk over a kilometre to reach the celebration site, yet their spirit of patriotism and excitement never wavered.

A Bernama survey observed parents enthusiastically bringing their children to experience the rehearsal up close, giving the younger generation a chance to appreciate the meaning of independence and unity. The crowd cheered as the contingents performed in perfect order, accompanied by vibrant music and energetic march formations.

The rehearsal involved 81 contingents comprising school students, uniformed personnel, civil servants, and representatives from the private sector. Their strong commitment and discipline reflected the collective effort to ensure the success of the National Day celebration, scheduled to take place this Sunday.

This year’s parade is set to be one of the grandest, with a total of 14,010 participants, 78 vehicle assets, seven decorated cars, 116 animals, and 21 marching bands taking part. The unique combination of human performance, cultural elements, and impressive assets promises to make the 2025 National Day celebration a memorable event for the nation.

The rehearsal ended with an overwhelming sense of pride, as the spirit of “Malaysia MADANI” was clearly reflected in the unity of the people who gathered. All eyes are now set on Sunday, when the official National Day celebration will bring together Malaysians in full glory and patriotism. — Bernama
