YB Dato Lo Visits Home of Peace to Strengthen Community Bonds

KUCHING — YB Dato Lo Khere Chiang made a meaningful visit to the Home of Peace at Jalan Landeh today, joining hands with the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) Batu 10 in a programme aimed at fostering closer ties within the community.

The visit served as an opportunity for YB Lo to engage directly with residents and caretakers at the Home of Peace. More than just a courtesy call, the programme reflected his commitment to showing care and support for the community, especially for the elderly and those in need of compassion.

During the visit, YB Lo highlighted the importance of kindness and working together as a society to create a better Sarawak. He also took the time to interact with residents, listening to their concerns and sharing words of encouragement. The presence of JKKK Batu 10 members further reinforced the message of solidarity and cooperation between community leaders and local institutions.

Speaking after the event, YB Lo expressed his gratitude to the organisers and praised the efforts of the Home of Peace in providing a safe and caring environment for its residents. He added that such initiatives serve as a reminder that everyone has a role to play in uplifting the community, regardless of background or status.

“The Home of Peace has been a symbol of care and compassion, and today’s programme is proof that when we work together, we can make Sarawak a better place for all,” he said.

The event ended on a warm note, with residents and visitors exchanging well wishes and reaffirming their commitment to continue spreading kindness.

This visit not only strengthened the bond between leaders and the community but also highlighted the shared values of compassion and unity in building a stronger Sarawak.
