MCMC, in a press statement, expressed serious concern over the creation and distribution of content that exploits the underprivileged purely for cheap entertainment and online attention. The commission stressed that such actions not only demean human dignity but also risk normalising a culture of inhumanity within society.

“MCMC is currently investigating the matter under the existing laws, and stern action will be taken against any party found guilty,” it said.

MCMC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the ethical use of cyberspace and ensuring the law is upheld to protect the dignity and wellbeing of all Malaysians.
