Interpol to Record Pamela Ling's Children in Kidnap Probe

Interpol to Record Pamela Ling’s Children in Kidnap Probe

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 May 2025The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will soon record statements from the children of Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh in Singapore as part of the ongoing investigation into her shocking kidnapping case that happened in Putrajaya on April 9.

According to Putrajaya District Police Chief, ACP Aidi Sham Mohamed, Interpol is currently making arrangements for the statements to be recorded at the Malaysian Embassy in Singapore. This step aims to gather more evidence and insights into the mysterious disappearance of Pamela Ling, who was on her way to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office when she went missing.

“Interpol is arranging for the recordings of the children’s conversations to be held soon at the Malaysian Embassy in Singapore,” said ACP Aidi Sham in a statement today.

As of now, police have recorded statements from 25 witnesses. They have also obtained a photo-fit sketch of one suspect, although the facial recognition match is only 40 percent accurate. Police are still working on verifying the identity of the suspect.

Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa previously mentioned that besides Pamela’s three children, several other individuals in Singapore are also expected to be interviewed soon to support the investigation.

He added that Pamela’s husband, Datuk Seri Hah Tiing Siu, may also be called in for a second round of questioning if needed.

Pamela, aged 42, disappeared on April 9 while travelling in an e-hailing vehicle to the MACC office in Putrajaya. A police report regarding her disappearance was filed at 3.02pm the same day.

The case continues to develop, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. — Bernama
