LIMBANG: The Info On Wheels (IOW) Programme organised by the Limbang District Information Office continues to play a vital role in bringing government policies and updates directly to rural communities, with the latest session held in the Batu Danau area on Thursday.

The programme took place at the Voting District Centre (PDM) of Danau Lake and was attended by Limbang District Information Officer Mohd Said Kalihing and Batu Danau Village Chief Julain Injan.

Among the key topics presented were the revised sales tax rate and the expansion of the service tax scope by the government. These updates are part of efforts to enhance state revenue through a more equitable and efficient taxation system—without placing undue burden on the people.

The programme also highlighted the Ops Gasak 2025 campaign, which focuses on tackling the misuse and diversion of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) subsidies. Ensuring these subsidies reach the intended recipients is vital to maintaining economic fairness and preventing losses that could impact national interests.

More than just a dissemination initiative, IOW also serves as a two-way communication platform, strengthening connections between the government and citizens. It fosters better understanding of public policies among rural residents and builds trust in government efforts to support and uplift the community.
