MUKAH: Islamic grassroots leaders from Bintulu District were recognised and celebrated in a special appreciation dinner ceremony held at Kingwood Hotel Mukah on Saturday, marking the closing of the Bintulu District Islamic Community Leader (KMKK) Leadership Course.

The event was aimed at strengthening leadership capabilities among Islamic community leaders at the grassroots level, while also appreciating their ongoing efforts in community development.

In his speech, he expressed gratitude to Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, who is also Bintulu Member of Parliament, Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing, for his strong support and financial allocation that made the course and dinner possible.

“His solid support is very meaningful and proves his commitment to the development of Islamic leadership in the Bintulu district,” he said.

He also commended Working Committee Chairman Johny Jimon and the organising team for their dedication in successfully carrying out the programme.

“The knowledge and skills gained from this course will serve as valuable assets for KMKK leaders to empower their communities,” he added.

The appreciation dinner also served as a platform to strengthen relationships between community leaders and district authorities, promoting closer cooperation for future development efforts.
