Israeli Forces Expand Attacks Beyond Eastern Rafah

In what was initially labeled as a limited operation in the eastern sector of Gaza’s Rafah city, Israeli military actions have spilled over into other densely populated areas, as reported by Al Jazeera’s correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum.

According to Abu Azzoum’s report from central Gaza’s Deir el-Balah, the onslaught has extended beyond the eastern regions, encompassing the middle and western parts of Rafah, including al-Mawasi.

Israeli forces reportedly urged Palestinian residents to seek refuge in al-Mawasi, an area currently accommodating approximately 400,000 individuals, according to UN estimates.

Despite the relocation, the bombardment persisted unabated, with witnesses describing the streets of Rafah as eerily vacant.

This escalation of attacks raises concerns about the safety and well-being of civilians residing in the affected areas.
