Batu Kawa Welcomes New JKKK Leaders to Boost Community Growth

Batu Kawa, Sarawak – A new chapter of leadership began today as community members from Kampung Rantau Panjang, Kampung Sinar Budi Baru, and RPR Batu Kawa Phase 2 officially received their appointment certificates to serve as the latest Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) leaders.

The appointment ceremony was officiated by YB Senator Dato’ Ahmad Bin Dato’ Sri Hj Ibrahim, who was joined by YB Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, the Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Batu Kawa State Assemblyman.

YB Datuk Amar Dr Sim also expressed his appreciation to the appointees and highlighted the importance of strong grassroots leadership in achieving the state’s development goals. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting local initiatives and empowering community-based governance.

This appointment is expected to strengthen the bond between the state government and the people, ensuring that development efforts reach every corner of the Batu Kawa constituency. The ceremony also carried a strong message of “Segulai Sejalai”, a Sarawakian spirit of togetherness, emphasising that progress is only meaningful when achieved collectively.
