KUCHING – The Sarawak Road Transport Department (JPJ) organised its April 2026 Loyal Assembly on 15 April, bringing together officers and staff in a ceremony that highlighted discipline, integrity and unity.
The event was attended by JPJ Sarawak Director Norizan bin Jili; Deputy Director Mohamad Faizal David bin Jemat; division and unit heads; as well as officers and members from across the state who joined both in person and online.
Proceedings began with the singing of the national anthem, followed by Ibu Pertiwi and Bina JPJ. The pledge was led by PP Usamah bin Mohamad, while prayers were recited by KPKM Wan Syaizul Fizuan bin Wan Mansor.
The ceremony reflected the department’s values of loyalty and professionalism in carrying out its responsibilities.
In his address, Director Norizan expressed appreciation for the dedication of JPJ staff across all levels, from field operations to service counters.
He congratulated officers who received promotions, acknowledging their contributions to the department’s excellence.
The assembly also featured the symbolic presentation of a certificate of appreciation to KPP(T) Yusri bin Daim, Chairman of Surau An-Nur JPJ Sarawak, for his role in ensuring the success of the department’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme during Ramadan.
A briefing was delivered by Assistant Director of Management Tan Chean Han, outlining the implementation of Work from Home (BDR) arrangements.
The initiative aims to enhance efficiency and balance service delivery, reflecting JPJ’s commitment to modernising work practices.
The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting session to celebrate staff birthdays from February to April. This gesture added a personal touch, reinforcing inclusiveness and camaraderie among JPJ Sarawak personnel.
The Loyal Assembly is expected to continue as a platform for strengthening teamwork, recognising achievements and fostering a spirit of commitment among JPJ Sarawak staff.
The department reaffirmed its dedication to integrity, professionalism and service excellence in fulfilling its mandate.
