JTS Samarahan Division Hosts CSR Cheque Presentation Ceremony

SAMARAHAN CITY – The Land and Survey Department (JTS) Samarahan Division held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Cheque Presentation Ceremony today at the Sebuyau District Office, underscoring its commitment to supporting local communities and educational institutions in the Sebuyau District.

Thian Choon Kui, Head of the Enforcement Division of the Sarawak Department of Land and Survey, emphasized that the initiative aims to foster stronger ties between the department and the local community, particularly in Sebuyau. “This program goes beyond symbolism; it reflects our dedication to enhancing community welfare and development,” he stated during his address.

The ceremony saw contributions distributed to five villages and four schools in the Sebuyau District, with each receiving a cheque of RM10,000, totaling RM90,000. The recipient villages included Baru Sebuyau Village, Baru Hilir Village Sebuyau, Hulu Sibuyau Village, Mosque Village, and Giatmara Village. The schools benefiting from the contributions were SK Tuanku Bagus, SJK Chung Hua Sebuyau, Permata KEMAS Sebuyau Kindergarten, and SMK Sebuyau.

Thian expressed hope that the funds would be utilized effectively for community welfare, such as improving basic infrastructure, supporting students, or addressing other pressing needs as determined by the recipients.

The event was attended by key figures, including Mohammad Zunica Mohamad Sapi’ee, Superintendent of Land and Survey of Samarahan Division, Melor Buyong representing the Sebuyau District Officers, and Bangit Grunsin, Head of Quarries SEDC.
