In his address, Dr Jerip commended the residents for their commendable spirit of gotong-royong (mutual cooperation), especially evident in the renovation and improvement of the church hall, which served as the venue for the event.

He emphasised that the unity and close cooperation between residents and village leadership were key to sustaining long-term development. “The development of Kampung Simuti is becoming increasingly visible. I hope this spirit of cooperation continues for the betterment of all,” he said.

Dr Jerip also reiterated the vital role of the village leadership and JKKK in planning and executing programmes that have direct impact on the community’s well-being. He highlighted several initiatives under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) implemented from 2017 to 2025, focusing on fundamental development such as infrastructure and basic amenities.

In a move to further uplift the community, he announced a RM30,000 allocation to the JKKK Kampung Annah Simuti to support community development activities and programmes.
