KUCHING – A fast response from the APM Kuching team prevented a tragic outcome when a fire engulfed a permanent structure house in Kampung Kolong 1, Kuching, earlier today.
Four officers and personnel from APM Kuching rushed to the scene after receiving emergency calls reporting the fire. Upon arrival, the team discovered that the house had been severely affected by the blaze. Fortunately, the resident was able to evacuate in time and sustained no injuries.
In support of the victim, APM Kuching immediately provided two (2) Food Kits (KM) to the affected family. The victim has since moved to the nearest family home, and no temporary evacuation centre (PPS) had to be opened.
Authorities confirmed that the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Department. Meanwhile, the community has been reminded to exercise caution and report any emergencies promptly.
