KUCHING: Flood victims in Kampung Sudat received much-needed assistance today as YB Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang, together with Team YB Lo, Followed by Albert Lee, visited the village to distribute flood relief supplies following the recent floods that affected the area. The visit reflected a hands-on approach by the elected representative to ensure affected residents were not left to cope alone during this difficult period.
The recent floods caused hardship to many families in Kampung Sudat, with water entering homes, damaging household items and disrupting daily life. Understanding the urgent needs on the ground, YB Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang and his team made the visit to personally hand over relief supplies to residents. The assistance was aimed at easing the burden faced by families as they begin the process of recovery after the floodwaters receded.
During the visit, residents expressed relief and gratitude for the timely help. Many said the presence of their representative brought comfort, as it showed that their concerns were heard and addressed through real action. The distribution of supplies was carried out in an orderly manner, ensuring that affected households received the assistance they needed.

In addition, the Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Malaysia Daerah Kuching, or APM Kuching District, provided the relief supplies that were distributed to the residents. Their support ensured that aid reached the affected families without delay.
YB Dato Ir Lo Khere Chiang also took the opportunity to thank Ketua Kampung Joseph Ak Rohai of Kampung Sudat for his strong coordination and cooperation. As the village head, his role was vital in identifying affected families and assisting in the smooth distribution of aid. The collaboration between community leaders and government agencies was key to the success of the relief effort.
