JAIS Kapit Hosts Spiritual Talk on Nuzul Al-Quran

KAPIT – The Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) organised a Spiritual Talk Programme on 4 March 2026 at the Jabal An-Nur Mosque in Kapit Division, in conjunction with the Nuzul Al-Quran celebration for 1447H/2026M.

The programme started at 5 pm and attracted Muslims from around Kapit. The main highlight of the event was a spiritual talk delivered by Ustaz Haji Ramzen bin Ambi, Head of the Halal Management Division of JAIS.

In his talk titled Nuzul Al-Quran, he shared insights on the significance of the Quran’s revelation and its spiritual influence, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

The session was designed to help the community better appreciate Islamic teachings and encourage deeper reflection on religious values.

Organisers said the programme was part of JAIS’s continuous efforts to strengthen religious awareness and promote unity among Muslims throughout Sarawak.

After the lecture, participants joined a communal iftar, strengthening the sense of brotherhood and togetherness during Ramadan.

The evening programme continued with congregational Maghrib prayers, followed by Isyak and Tarawih sunnah prayers, providing participants with a meaningful spiritual experience.

Community members expressed their appreciation for the programme, saying that events like this help nurture faith while also strengthening relationships within the Muslim community.

They also noted the important role of mosques as centres for both religious education and social interaction.

JAIS has consistently organised programmes across Sarawak to mark important Islamic occasions, with Nuzul Al-Quran being among the most significant.

The celebration commemorates the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad SAW, an event considered fundamental to Islamic faith and practice.

By combining religious talks, prayers, and community activities, the Kapit programme highlighted values of reflection, unity, and devotion.

Organisers hope the event will inspire participants to continue deepening their understanding of the Quran and applying its teachings in daily life.
