KMJG 2025 Convoy Ignites Patriotism in Serian with Vibrant Celebration

KMJG 2025 Convoy Ignites Patriotism in Serian with Vibrant Celebration

SERIAN – The Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2025 convoy energized the Serian community on Wednesday, marking its 19th stop in Sarawak as part of state-level National Month and Malaysia Day celebrations.

The event, officiated by Serian Member of Parliament Dato’ Sri (Dr.) Richard Riot Jaem, drew government officials, community leaders, and residents into a lively display of national pride.

The convoy, organized by the Malaysian Information Department Sarawak, aims to foster unity under the national theme “Malaysia MADANI: Rakyat Disantuni” (A Caring Nation).

Activities included flag-hoisting ceremonies and the distribution of patriotic materials at pit stops in Kampung Pichin and Kampung Tema Penggal, emphasizing cross-racial solidarity.

Serian is among 22 districts included in Sarawak’s five-phase KMJG itinerary, with the final phase concluding in Bintulu on September 16.

The program aligns with broader national efforts to reinforce patriotic values through community engagement and government collaboration.

Officials praised local authorities, including the Serian and Tebedu District Offices, for ensuring the event’s success.

Residents were encouraged to display the Jalur Gemilang prominently at homes, workplaces, and schools to symbolize support for Malaysia’s unity and progress.
